2024 Fall Volleyball Training Program

SOLD OUT!

MOCO Volleyball 2024 Fall Training Program

MOCO’s Fall Training Program provides volleyball players of all skill levels the opportunity to improve their skills and play competitive volleyball.  The program runs from September 4, 2024 - October 20, 2024.

A UNIQUE APPROACH TO FALL VOLLEYBALL

Our Fall Training Program is unique---it is not a recreational league or a clinic.  What makes our Fall Training Program special:

  • Experienced Coaches for Each Team: Teams are coached by our club volleyball coaches.  Our coach-to-player ratio gives players more direct, personalized instruction than a recreational league.
  • Accelerated Skill Development:  Our coaches structure practices to work on specific skill development needs.  Players receive 3+ hours of skill development coaching each week, plus their competition time.
  • Great Competition:  Our Sunday sessions combine skill development led by our most experienced coaches--with more than 75 years of combined coaching experience--with scrimmages and game-like drills. Our games are fast-paced and scored, aligning with our belief that a training program should be challenging while giving players lots of chances to succeed.
  • Low Cost: Our training program provides players with a club-level volleyball experience at a very low cost -- less than $13 per hour of instruction.
  • Teams Organized by Age and Experience: Players of different ages develop volleyball skills at different speeds.  We organize our teams so players of similar ages and experience levels are together.
  • Preparation for Club Volleyball: If your player is interested in playing club volleyball, our training program gets them ready for tryouts.  A large number of our club players got started in our fall programs.

REGISTER EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT

This is our most popular volleyball program, and it WILL fill up.  Last year, several hundred players participated, with over a hundred additional players on our waitlist.

Experience Levels

  • Beginners: For players new to volleyball and players with limited volleyball experience
  • Intermediate: For players with volleyball experience who have attended multiple clinics, played on a younger club team (U11-12), or have played for their middle school team.
  • Advanced: For players with club volleyball experience (U13-U15)

Age Limits

Age limits are determined by your USAV Age Group for the 2024-2025 season.

  • Beginner & Intermediate: Open to U10-U14 age groups.  Players in these groups have a birth date between 7/1/2010 and 6/30/2015 and are typically in grades 4-8.
  • Advanced: Open to the U13-15 age groups. Players in this group have a birth date between 7/1/2009 and 6/30/2012 and are typically in grades 7-9.

Schedule

Everyone who registers and pays is guaranteed a spot on a team. Once teams are formed, each team will have two sessions a week:

  • Practice: Once a week on either Wednesday or Thursday.
  • Skills Development & Competition: On Sunday, teams will work together on skills development and compete against each other, playing 2-3 matches against teams at or adjacent to their skill level.  Sessions will last 2 hours.
  • Halloween Candy Scrimmage: On October 20th, teams will participate in a MOCO tradition -- the Candy Scrimmage.  We fill up ball carts with treats, and our MOCO coaches, staff, and club players help us celebrate great plays, great effort, and great attitudes with great rewards!
